On Saturday 24th June, we have a full day and evening packed full of free family and community activities and performances to celebrate World Music Day and experience our beautiful Grade I Listed Church! Everyone welcome!

From 11am – 4pm >>> Family Art, Craft & Activities including: Explore historical instruments / Play hand bells and boomwhackers / Make your own musical instruments.

From 1pm – 3:30pm >>> (5 – 16 year olds) Come & join Nick Ledbury from Glamba Drumming Workshops to learn rhythms from the Rio Carnival on Brazilian drums (2 x 1 hour sessions at 1pm (5 – 9 years old) and 2:30pm (10 – 16 years old) – free tickets available for 1pm session ‘click here’, and 2:30pm session 'click here' ..we have a limited number of 30 tickets – 15 tickets per session), you must provide your ticket for your child to participate in the drumming workshops).

From 5pm – 7:15pm >>> ‘Automaton’ is a DJ / Producer / Live Performer / Turntablist / Multi-instrumentalist and Geometric artist with over 25 years experience performing Dub, Trip-Hop and Electronic and World Music.

7:15pm – 8:45pm >>> Experience the vibrant rhythms and infectious melodies of ‘Forró Tempo’, Britain's finest Forró Band. With a multicultural line-up hailing from Jamaica, India, Ireland, and the Black Country, this ensemble brings a unique and captivating sound to the stage.

Children/Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times / Free tea, coffee, soft drinks & biscuits available for families & children attending daytime activities / Licensed bar available from 4pm until close / Children of all ages, accompanied by an adult are encouraged and welcome to attend the evening performance / All staff and workshop providers involved with family activities are DBS checked
